Ask ChatBot About Social Media!

There should be a ChatBot button in the bottom right corner!! Explore the impact of social media through selected topics. Ask ChatBot about films like The Social Network or A Social Life, or dive deeper into the pros and cons of social media use in teens.

Try asking things like:

  • "What did The Social Network teach us about ambition and ethics online?"
  • "How does A Social Life show the pressure of online appearance?"
  • "What are some proven mental health effects of social media in teens?"
  • "Can you explain how social media sites affect society?"

    I really enjoyed how interactive this was. Adding a feature of AI is a clear example of using our inquiry of technology. I do wish there was a little more substance to it. I wish you talked about your experience asking the ChatBot these four questions and if you felt their answers were an accurate representation of what you have been studying with social media use and its impact on teens. Overall, good job!

    Wait this is really cool! Did you embed this into blogger or code it yourself? In terms of the actual interaction of the chatbot, its responses were fine. Surface level? When I use an AI chatbot it feels less like I am talking with a person and more like I'm in grade school at an assembly about social media and cyberbullying. It's kind of vague and sanitized and they are both hitting and missing the point somehow at the same time. I did find it interesting that when I asked the last question on your list ,"can you explain how social media sites affect society," the chatbot gave me a really long explanation about Instagram and then linked a source which I don't really see AI do. Great job Nick!

    I thought this was one of the most unique blog posts i've seen in this class. I really like how simple yet effective your unit 3 project is. I also like the idea of using an AI bot directly on Blogger, not Chatgpt or the other popular AI bots. This is so interactive and fun! Great job Nick. -Casey Willis

    I appreciate the interactive approach you took with this project. I believe that a lot of times the education surrounding the use of AI and technology comes best from hand on activities and visuals, which your project implements perfectly. I like how you created a guide to the interaction with the AI based on your focus and interest. The guide sets up the idea that most people will have a similar response, which means that their feelings and reactions will be based on similar interactions. Overall great work!! - Taylor Peters

    It was really cool how you incorporated a piece of technology in this project where the inquiry is about technology. This was a really interactive approach especially with how you incorporated a specific film into this. I also like how this is a different type of AI other than ChatGPT, which I feel like is the main AI that everyone uses. -Ari Rosenberg
